Mystical Cusco
Day 1: Urubamba Valley
You will arrive at the Cusco Airport where an English speaking guide will pick you up and transport you to Urubamba Valley. Here you will stay at the Kamaquen Healing Center where you will adjust to the altitude.
Later you will have your lunch and experience a traditional Andean ceremony which is an offering to the Mother Earth (Pachamama) for safe pilgrimage. The name of this type of ceremony is Pacco which is performed by the Qéro Shamans of Ocogante. After the Pacco you will attend an interesting conversation of the Andina Cosmovision. Then you will have a delicious dinner at the Center and relax.
Day 2:
Urcos
After your breakfast you will go by bus to Urco (Temple of the Serpent) where you will attend a small ceremony. In the Andean Tradition the serpent is one archetype that represents the life (DNA) and connects you with your ancient wisdom. The journey continues to Pisaq. This sacred place we will visit the archaeological site and walk for two hours. Return to the main square of Pisaq for lunch and visit the artist´s market where you can experience the many beautiful items made by local Peruvians.
At this point you will return to Urubamba where you can enjoy a nice sauna with medicinal plants and enjoy your dinner. Later you will join the group for a lecture on the history and mysticism of Machu Picchu. This evening you will sleep in Urubamba.
Day 3: Machu Picchu
You will leave very early by train (approximately 6:00 a.m.) for Machu Picchu. In this very famous archaeological site you will have a special guide explaining the history of Machu Picchu. In the afternoon you will return to Urubamba at approximately 7:00 p.m. and have dinner and sleep.
Day 4:
Moray / Maras / Urubamba
After you have had breakfast you will be transported to the circles of Moray. This sacred site was constructed by the Inkas during a particular period of history. This hilly site was a greenhouse for growing mystical plants. This site is for reconnecting with the uterus of Pachamama. Here you will participate in an exercise to make this connection.
After this exercise you will participate in a picnic and be transferred to the salt mines of Maras. Here you will observe a Pre-Inka technique for salt evaporation and you will work with the colors of the chakras. Then you will return to Urubamba for a nice Jacuzzi, dinner and restful sleep.
Day 5:
Ollantaytambo
In the morning you will join the circle to discuss your life experiences. Then you will visit the Temple of wind/Ollantaytambo. You will then have your lunch and in the afternoon you will visit the Village of Ollataytambo and view the Inka construction. You will then return to Urubamba. (In the evening it is possible to participate in a san pedro ceremony).
Day 6: Tambomachay - Amarumachay
After you have your breakfast you will visit the sacred place of Tambomachay where you will participate in a little exercise in the cave. You will then visit Quenqo and Saqsaywamana which is the crown of the puma. In the afternoon you will have free time in Cusco to see the many beautiful things made by local artisans. This night you will spend in Cusco.
Day 7:
Tipon
In the morning you will visit the water temple of Tipon where you will participate in a cleansing ceremony. You will then return to Cusco for a free afternoon. In the evening you will enjoy a dinner with a spectacular show of typical Peruvian music and dancing.
Day 8: Final Services
Today is the end of your program. We hope you enjoyed your experiences with our agency and wish you a safe flight home and look forward to your return.
