Wasai - Lodge At Puerto Maldonado

WASAI Maldonado Lodge is located in the jungle town of Puerto Maldonado, the regional capital of the Madre de Dios Department, in south-east Peru. Accommodation at the Lodge consists of 6 wooden bungalows raised on stilts in the local architectural style to blend with the natural surroundings. Every bungalow offers a relaxing view of the Madre de Dios River or a wonderful sunrise. Operator Manu Peru WASAI Maldonado Lodge is located a mere block way from the main plaza allowing easy access to the towns main services - post office, banks, internet, shopping, etc.

Bungalows

Each bungalow at WASAI Lodge is almost 40m2 nicely decorated and equipped to fit your every need. We offer queen size beds, small refrigerator, hot & cold water, air conditioner (optional), fans, color tv, etc. Ecology Peru

Restaurant

The lodge´s restaurant sits 25 m above the river bank, offering a wonderful view of the river and surrounding vegetation. Our cuisine is touted the best in the region, specializing in typical and international fare. Opened in 2001 the second floor Plaza Bar has a fantastic view down the Madre de Dios river to the rainforest. Operator Manu Peru

Swimming Pool

The small swimming pool and waterfall is surround by native vegetation and offers a wonderful view of the Madre de Dios River. Exotic and traditional drinks can be enjoy at the poolside bar. Ecology Peru

The WASAI Maldonado Lodge is the starting and finishing point for all Wasai eco-tours and expeditions. As well as the tours described elsewhere in this site we also offer day and half day tours to places of interest close to Puerto Maldonado, such as Lake Sandoval, Catamaran tours, city tours, bicycle and motorbike tours of the Cachuela.
