Atacama Amazon in a 4 X 4 Automobile
A great part of this adventure tour is off-road in a 4 x 4 vehicle. In 16 days you will be at the hands of an experienced driver who will show you places not possible any other way. This trip will take you to the most arid deserts of the world. You will see the geysers of Tatio and the sacred San Pedro cactus of the desert Atacama. This trip will also include the startling beauty of the highlands of sacred Lake Titicaca. You will also visit the Island of the Sun and visit the ancient City of Cusco. You will travel by way of the Sacred Valley of the Incas to the magical sacred city of Machu Pichu, which is one of the 7 Great Wonders of the World. From here you will descend into the Peruvian Amazon to experience Manu. Here you will stay in a very comfortable lodge close to the river Madre de Dios and have a chance to explore the jungle. Then you will travel to the famous Nazca to view the mysterious prints. This incredible opportunity will wake up your spiritual senses and leave you mesmerized.
Day 1:
Santiago, Capital of Chile
Today you will meet with your group and tour guide and discuss any last details of this adventure trip and ask any questions you may have. You then will visit the City of Santiago where you will enjoy a nice typical Chilean dinner in a nice restaurant. Buscar una foto de Santiago de Chile.
Day 2:
Antofagasta - Baquedano - Atacama - Peine - Toconao - San Pedro
In the morning you will leave from Santiago and fly to the main city of Antofagasta in the north of Chile. In this beautiful city everything rotates around the great mining industry. Here you will continue on your adventure trip to the world famous arid Desert of the Atacama. You will have lunch at Baquedano and visit the salt mines of Atacama-Peine-Toconao. Then you will arrive in the afternoon to the beautiful and native town of San Pedro where you will enjoy a nice dinner and lodging.
Day 3:
Tatio Geiser - Chiu-chiu-Conchi - Ascotan - Ascotan - Estacion Cebollar - Ollague
Early in the morning (4:00 a.m.) you will have your breakfast in San Pedro and depart at 4:30 a.m. for the Geyser of Tatio. This place has volcanic activity and has been known to spout water that could reach surprising heights. Don't forget that you will be touching the sky here because you are on the roof of the world where you will observe the more than 360 volcanoes. This part of the trip includes not only viewing the Geyser of Tatio but also the salt mines of Chiu Chiu Conchi, Ascontan Station Cebollar / Ollague where you will enjoy a nice dinner and rest for the evening in a nice lodge of this pueblo.
Day 4:
Puquios - Reten - Cochiguas - Collacagua - Lirima - Ancuaque - Cariquima - Colchane
Early in the morning you will leave for Puquios-Reten, Cochiguas-alto Mine Chop Collacagua Lirima Ancuaque Cariquima Colchane. Here you will observe the immense beauty of the Highlands. In fact, photos cannot capture the natural beauty of this location. You will listen to the sounds of silence and admire the Altiplanica night. Here you will enjoy dinner and lodging.
Day 5:
Surire - Chilcaya - Puquisa - Guallatin - Choctempie - Reten de Carabineros - Lake Chungara - Putre
You will leave Colchane and travel to Salt of Surire, Chilcaya, Puquisa, Guallatin, Choctempie, Chungara Lake and finally Putre. You will enjoy the beauty of the Chilean Highlands and all their glory. In the evening you will stay at a nice lodge.
Day 6:
Bolivia - Charaña - Inoca
In the morning you will leave for the three borders of Bolivia/Charaña/Inoca. Here you will enter the Peruvian border where you will connect with the highest and most sacred lake of the world shared by Peru and Bolivia; Lake Titicaca.
Day 7:
Puno - Cusco
In the morning you will depart for the Ancient Incan City of Cusco. Before departing for Cusco you will have an hour to visit Sillustani. You will travel in the afternoon and arrive to Cusco the following morning.
Day 8:
Sacred Valley - Ollantaytambo
You will leave in the morning on a journey to the typical City of Incas; Ollantaytambo also known as the City of the Winds. You can visit the Inca ruins and take in the beautiful views and breathe in the magic. They sometimes illuminate the ruins in the night, which makes a beautiful show worthy of admiring. The atmosphere is, in fact, magical.
Day 9:
Ollantaytambo - Machu Pichu - Ollantaytambo
You will leave Ollantaytambo early in the morning by train to Aguas Caliente and by bus enter the sacred ruins of Machu Pichu. Here you will have the whole day to explore Machu Pichu. In the afternoon you will return to spend the evening in Ollantaytambo where you will prepare for your travel to the Amazonian Jungle the following morning.
Day 10:
Ollantaytambo - Pisac - Paucartambo - Pilcopata - Atalaya
In the morning you will enjoy a good breakfast and depart for the jungle by way of Pisac/Paucartambo/Pilcopata, arrive in the Amazonian jungle lodge in a small town, Atalaya. Dante, an expert jungle guide, will give you a tour of this incredible place and here you will spend the evening.
Day 11:
Atalaya - Amaru Mayu
Today you will navigate in typical boats that are used in the Amazon for the Manu Reserve and enjoy all of nature’s glory. In the late afternoon return to the lodge for a good night’s sleep.
Día12:
Amaru Mayu - Cloud forest
From Amaru Mayu located in the banks of the river Madre de Dios (mother of God) you will move from the lodge located in Humid Forest up to approximately 20 kilometers of distance. Here you will enjoy an incredible flora and fauna together with the observation of a typical bird of Peru named "The Cockerel of the Rocks or Tunqui" with their fantastic plumage and coloring which is why they are considered the birds of paradise.

Day 13:
Cloud forest - Cusco - Abancay
In the morning you leave for the small town of Abancay and say good-bye to the Amazonian Rainforest. You will eat lunch in the City of Cusco and return to Abancay to spend the night.Day 14
Abancay/Nazca
You will leave in the morning by a newly paved route to Nazca and spend the evening in a nice lodge.Day 15
Nazca/Camaná
In the morning you will take a very early flight to see the different designs of Nazca lines. No one has been able to determine how these designs were created.
Day 16:
Camaná - Arica
Once again you will leave early in the morning to return to Arica by either Panamerican or Tacna. This will be the last part of this great adventure. You will have experienced the most arid desert of the world. You touched the stars in the highlands. You stayed at the highest lake of the world and the famous ruins of Machu Pichu. You navigated along the Madre de Dios River and entered the Manu Reserve. You flew to the Nazca Lines. You traveled to incredible places that you will always remember and have your spirits enriched. You will, most likely, leave this sacred and magical country with plans to return at a later date.
Day 17:
Return Home
