Atalaya Manu Company has been working for 11 years and have achieved a original product, different and very personal.

Atalaya Manu is an experiences company that has submerged itself in the yet unexplored jungle world and has created adventure programs by means of ecotourism in order to invite tourist to connect with the natural environment of the jungle. The common goal is for preservation and conservation of the environment and caring for the native communities while experiencing the Manu Biosphere Reserve and the Tambopata Bahuaja Sonene Natural Parks.

Atalaya Manu is always looking for new and original routes through the unknown heart of Manu and Puerto Maldonado as well as other jungle areas such as Iquitos, Pucallpa and Quillabamba. We intend that all our trips avoid the traditional routes in most jungle journeys. We, however, offer as well the main well known attractions such as the Cloud Forest, The Manu Park and the Tambopata and Bahuaja Sonene.

Our Hostels and camping areas are carefully chosen in order to guarantee a total connection with nature and absolute exclusiveness for each group, avoiding the main areas of congestion as well as providing as much comfort as possible.

With all our trips we always offer the options of Yoga and meditation in the most beautiful spots to connect with the natural environment of the jungle. In addition, we offer the possibility of connecting with the Sacred Plants as Ayahuasca and San Pedro through ceremonies given by experience medicine people. Our trips go through all the ecosystems and biodiversity of the Manu Biosphere Reserve. In our trips, we try that the passengers know and get involved with Manu and that they discover the real sense of the so much used term "Ecotourism". We are interested in 3 points, which give us charisma and makes us different from other tour operator .

1.CLOUD FOREST.  Our restoration ecological project is located in this area, Palmaceda Reserve. Our web is under construction but you can already see the project, it only lacks translation into English and some details. We try to be in contact and inform of the advances in the project to our visitors, so that they can get involved with our work team. Also, they understand that while travelling with us to Manu, they contribute to the project.

2.CASA MATSIGUENKA PROJECT. Ecotourism lodge built and run by the native Matsiguenkas from two communities of the restricted area of the Manu: Tayacome and Yomibato. The lodge was built as an alternative for the two communities. They live in the reserve and, consequently, they don´t have much opportunity of exploiting the area for economic benefits. Once we are in the Manu, all the business and logistics is for Casa Matsiguenka. Thus, the money of this part of the trip goes to the two communities.

3. MANU PARK. The biggest reserve of rainforest in the world. Home to the giant black alligator, the river lion, 13 species of monkeys and more than 1.000 species of birds (the 10% of all the world birds). In spite of the invasions suffered, first by the Incas, then by Spanish conquerors and later by rubber tree searchers, the Manu has been protected through the centuries for its remote location, and for being considered one of the richest places on earth regarding biodiversity and for the presence of hostile native tribes.
